FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Singaporeans, Permanent Residents (PRs), and eligible singles (35 and above) can buy resale HDB flats, subject to HDB eligibility conditions.

You’ll need to cover the option fee, downpayment, legal fees, stamp duties, and any cash-over-valuation (COV) if applicable.

Typically, it takes 8 to 12 weeks from the time both parties exercise the Option to Purchase (OTP) until completion.

COV is the difference between the selling price and the official HDB valuation. It must be paid in cash.

It’s optional, but having an agent can help with negotiations, paperwork, and understanding the resale process.
